    (1) Will it fit? Sure, it will fit. but it most likely will not be a perfect fit, since the display on the Alienware M11x isn't a "typical" size compared to other 11.6" displays (which are mostly found on netbooks). So, it's really a question of how tolerant are you of a slightly ghetto-ized look.

    (2) The Samsung SSD - I gotta say, terrible idea. If you want an SSD, get an actual 2.5" SATA SSD that is the correct voltage, size, and chassis for what your laptop needs. If you try to ghetto-rig something like that into your M11x, you'll end up with ghetto-rigged results.
