The M11 is not nearly powerful enough to make 3D worthwhile unless you plan to run games at low resolution at low detail settings.

A nice 2d Full-HD monitor connected via the HDMI port works wonderfully though and is, therefore, highly recommended. :)

if you are using a 120Hz 3D Vision Monitor (not a HDTV), then it will not work. I know, since I have tried time and time again from my m11xR2.

If it is a "120Hz" or "240Hz" 3D HTDV, then it *might* work. I haven't cared to check since I got my GTX570.

I think the HDMI port on the m11x doesn't even support HDMI 1.4 for 3d viewing on a 3d external monitor

And the GTX 460m card in G73/G53JW-3d are struggling to play 3d games so i'm sure the gt 335m will not be able to handle it

The m11x can do 3d bluray, but can NOT do 3d gaming. I would go and buy the 3d monitor to be ready for when the m11x can do 3d (please r3 support 3d!!)

You need a massive GPU to get playable frame rates for 3D. As was pointed out by benchmade42, even notebooks with GTX 460 cards are having a rough go of it. Count on it being many, many years before 3D gaming becomes practical in a form factor as small as the M11x.

can the m11x do 3d gaming though, just not very well?
does it need a cord other hdmi?

i recently purchased the m11x r2, the aw 2310 3d monitor, and nvidia glasses?

    what else do i need?
    does hdmi work?

No, you need HDMI 1.4, also, the M11X would play DOOM 1 in 3D at 12FPS. I highly do not recommend it unless you would like 3D movies. Get yourself a bigge rmachine with tri crossfirex'ed 6990, then play 3D at 80FPS max :(
