At the same time, will cause the "mouse" movement to stutter/lag...
Is this normal? I don't usually play without a USB moues, but when im "on the go" ill play wow or something using the trackpad.
Now is this normal? Anyway to fix this? Maybe i should change some sensitivity settings.. I also have the latest synaptic s driver installed..
If someone could run me through proper trackpad settings for gaming, that would be great... thanks!
i.e- drawing a circle with my finger on the trackpad... the "mouse" glides perfectly.. as soon as a press a "WSAD" key it stutters and lags.

bump......

Is your left hand brushing against the trackpad whilst using wasd? That would definitely cause it to lag.

Nope doesn't seem to matter whether im being cautious or not. Like i said i cant run strafing in a circle holding down the "w" and "d" keys and move my mouse around the screen precisely..
Do i have a defective device? Is there an outdated driver im unaware of? Would anyone else care to confirm this please. -

I think it may be ghosting. I was playing crysis 2 online and when I was running forward the mouse worked fine but as soon as I went to strafe and run forward it would stop responding, then if I let go of say, A W, and just held W, it worked again.

I have not a clue why you would want to use a trackpad in crysis 2 over a mouse

I can reproduce your problem, but I've never tried to do anything about it because it has never really been an issue for me. It certainly doesn't make much sense. I don't know if it's a limited issue or if it's common. Honestly, your best bet is probably to just pick up a cheap small extra mouse to use on the go.
To anyone else who might read this, you can test this just on the desktop, you don't have to be in a game. Move your cursor around with the touchpad and see what happens when you press a key. -

It might be a Synaptics driver issue. Have you tried installing an older version of the drivers, or uninstalling them completely and used the native MS ones? My wife's Toshiba notebook has an Alps touchpad, and it doesn't have this problem.

as i scroll up and down with the up/down buttons and move my finger around the trackpad, the trackpad definitely stops in its tracks while holding down the up or down button. i have the latest synaptics driver installed (multi-touch, etc works).
i guess i would never think to game with the trackpad.
using the trackpad and keyboard
