This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    but i have to ask this...

    can i configure a gaming profile and a daily use profile?

    not meaning user accounts, but more along the lines of this:

    gamer: OCd properties that load when active for games.

    daily: run of the mill settings for school, daily emails, etc. no gaming.


    is this possible?

    you can switch between performance and power saving, though for OC you probably will need to set it separately in the software of your choice.

    I've OC'd my Asus K53TA before and it offers 5 different profiles, so yes, you can switch between profiles.

    If you want the basics on Downcloking & OC'ing (software), check the last link in my sig :)

    The guide is meant for the K53TA, but the software/utilities/overview is universal.
