Everytime I start shogun 2 through steam it only shows my intel card, how do I fix this, this computer just seems to me off more and more each day.

also i go to the shogun exe and run with nividia card and still only runs it with intel card. SO this sucks I have no idea what to do and now i bought a game this stupid machine can't even use correctly

Shogun should run just fine on that machine. one of the first videos I ever did on my gaming channel covers it in fact. I don't have it installed at the moment so I can't look up which apps you need to whitelist, but what you could do is simply force the card. Right click on the desktop and open up the Nvidia control panel. Go to Global settings and set the Nvidia GPU as the preferred processor for everything.

Beyond that, the only thin you need to do to ensure you get peak performance out of the machine is make sure that you are on the High Performance energy saver profile within Windows.

i've encountered this too. the only solution when i was still playing the game was to use the old dell stock drivers, 258.xx or whatever. with the newer drivers, even though it's using the nvidia gpu, it still reports intel so won't let you raise any of the settings beyond low. that's my experience anyway.
