    new to the m11x r2 and i want to insure it i do a lot of travaling in the uk and need it to be covered
    prob a silly question but i cant find the serial number on the machine can someone tell me where to locate it :)

    Dell calls the serial number the Service Tag.

    It will be located on the bottom of your laptop. Look for a white sticker with a barcode, 7 digits, combination of letters and numbers.

    it should be located in between the cooling fan and your customized nameplate, its black sticker with while lines for the bar code, it should say service tag, XXXXXXX, M11xR2

    Service tag is also displayed in the BIOS. Boot the machine and hit F2 at the first appearance of the Alien head.
