just want to know the experiences of m11x owners. should I get an extended warranty or not? thats really one of my main questions.
Processor Overclockable Intel® CoreTM i7 640UM (4M Cache, 2.266 GHz Max Turbo Frequency)
    Memory 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 800MHz

    Hard Drive 500GB SATAII 7,200RPM

    Video Card 1GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 335M
will this be enough to run the old republic, and possibly civilization and other rts games.

After thinking I didn;t need the extended warranty, it is now clear that I should decide on buying it. My screen on an angle is showing leakage, it's not very pretty, and the thing is I treat it like gold, it goes on the road with me but its never enduring any shock.

I wouldn't pay for the extended warranty unless you can haggle it for cheap or free, that's just me though.

I always get premium warranties. It's worth it for the peace-of-mind knowing that I can drop my laptop from a 10 story building, and still have it repaired / replaced.

you can always extend the warranty later on if desired, though i think it costs a bit more. i also figure that if something happens it will happen in the first year, although some people are of the mind that with their luck if something happens it will occur the day after the warrant expiration

For the most part you get use to it.
Though lately, my eyes have been hurting.
I don't know if it's cause of the laptop or cause of something else.

i figured it wouldn't be too bad. I have a 15.6" at work and if I get into a serious gaming session i will just hook it up to the tv. What do you use for a controller?

Screen size does not bother me. I use to have a 15.4 inch laptopwhich is huge. When I switched and got a m11x it did not affect me at all. Just personal preference though. I also own a iPhone which means I'm use to reading on small displays. I got 3 years extra warranty only because I'm in college. I need this laptop to get me through college :). It's what you need. This laptop was the one I wanted since it first came out. Although i waited to get the R2 version, I am really happy with my choice.

Well, obviously you need a mouse.
I myself am just using a cheap old 15 dollar one, but I hear Razer mouses are good.

i have a wireless mouse that i had for my old laptop. I also think im gonna invest in some turtle beach headphones for my ps3 and I am pretty sure they would work on a pc. My brother is giving me about getting the small one, is upgrading to the m15x worth it?

I recommend a razer mamba which is what i use. It's awesome at 1m/s polling rate and a dpi of up to 5600 it will satisfy all your gaming/ casual use. For headphones I use a dr.dre beats studios (white). I use headphones only when I play counter strike or if I'm in a public place. The glare on the screen does not bother me only because my old laptop had a glossy screen too. I would recommend green onion anti glare screen protector if you want one. Rep me :)if I helped.

The three accessories I would recommend. If you'd like specific recommendations into any of these categories, please speak up, and we would be glad to help.

    1) Get yourself a good mouse, if you don't already have one. There are people who prefer corded USB mice, some that prefer wireless mice, others that prefer Bluetooth mice. Each one has its ups-and-downs.

    2) Get yourself a nice pair of headphones. If you want headphones with a mic on it, I can *highly* recommend the Sennheiser PC300 headphones. Fantastic headset for computer gaming. Street price of $50.

    3) Razer Kabuto mouse pad. It's a great travel mousepad, that also doubles as a screen protector. You will quickly see that a screen protector is a good thing to have. Highly recommended. Street price of about $19.
