    Does anyone know if this works well with the m11x R3? I read that it doesn't work well with optimus. I was thinking about getting the AW monitor bundled with the 3d vision kit

    It doesn't work at all with the Alienware M11x.

    The nVidia 540M GPU is not a supported GPU for 3D Vision.

    Even if it was, it would not have the horsepower to handle 3d vision.

    I had my desktop finally working with it (gtx 260 core 216), nvidia glasses 2, and a 3d projector. I had to try the laptop. It passed the nvidia 3d test. I didn't have any games loaded on the laptop to play though, but if it passes the 3d test, then 3d will work. The 3d test "tests" the display, the glasses, and the hardware to ensure it will work. Performance should roughly be around 50% of normal performance due to rendering twice the imagery, but it'll work. It said HDCP Ready also making me think an external bluray drive could, in theory, play 3d movies. I don't have bluray.
