Hello, my alienware m11x r1 laptop keeps having blue screens. I looked at the dump file, and it turns out that it's a problem with ntoskrnl.exe. I re-installed windows last night, and it didn't do anything to solve the problem. This only happens with the processor on overclock
There are four files related to the crash.
-L1 C62x64.sys
-ndis.sys
-ntoskrnl.exe
-tcpip.sys
If anyone has any suggestions or ideas of what this might be, please post.
Thanks.

I've seen BSODs caused by bad memory, a bad power supply, and a bad OS install disk. Sometimes it's not a file error really, but the fault is in the memory or power, and the system call generated by that file triggers the failure. I'm not sure I'm describing that properly, but the basic point is that hardware problems can manifest themselves as software problems.
My first suggestion to you is to swap out the memory, or try only one stick at a time. Bad RAMs can cause weird problems. Power Supplies can cause weird problems as well when they're dying but I've never heard of this being an issue on laptops, only desktops. If that doesn't work, you can 1)call Dell if you're still under warranty, b)get used to running underclocked, or III)hope someone smarter than me has a better idea. -
well there are few suggestions
Error message: "Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem"
but mostly try switching ram sticks 1 at a time, as its easiest thing to rule out at the moment... Then probably try reinstalling windows to restore the file, in case it is software related... if it persists after that, which i deeply doubt, ring dell support. -
Alright, I'll call alienware over the weekend.
ntoskrnl.exe Blue screen
