So, I recently replaced my thermal paste with Arctic Silver 5.
Everything went very well, and so far my laptops performance is great and the temps are a little lower than before.
    However...
I started typing and realized that the spacebar doesn't work anymore!
I can't think of anything else to do other than replacing the keyboard.

Does anyone know where to get a replacement?
I've Googled and can't seem to find any place!
    Thanks guys!

    Ebay, or Dell.

    http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=m1...eyboard&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313

Kinda spendy on ebay tho. Might wanna make sure the ribbon cable is attached correctly first. :)

iv done this also. you used one of the bigger screws to tighten the keyboard, causing a big bulge. but after that you figured out that that wasnt right so you used the little screws after that.
thats why the keyboard is malfunctioning now =D

    Try re-inserting the keyboard ribbon.

If that doent work check the screws that you used are the right lenght for each hole. some users have tried using the longer ones on the KB and it results i damage.

Im pretty sureDell can get you a replacment

    Same boat here.
bought my m11x in Malaysia, so that they shipped the keyboard from Malaysia to my location, Vietnam. I had to pay $140 for this replacement. :( and it's going to take 4 weeks to arrive here :(

I did the same thing =( Does anyone tried to disassemble and repair the keyboard? How about removing the rear substrate and recovery of electrical paths?
