    Hey guys,

I'm a bit of a noob, but I've searched the other threads and cant find my particular problem.

I got my new M11xR2 last week with i1 processor and 8gb of ram. When I got iy, I updated the gpu driver from the nVidia website. The driver version I am runnning is 267.76.

When I open the nVidia control panel, it's set to High Performance Graphics in the Global Settings Panel. When I set it to integrated graphics, and move away from the panel and return, High Performance is set again.

So obviously this means my GPU is constatnly running, right? How do I switch it off?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, cheer guys.

Yeah... have you tried pressing the "Apply" button that should be at the bottom right, after you've selected Integrated graphics?

    Cheers.

Yep :) I'm not that much of a noob

A dialouge pops up to say "You're desktop config has been changed. Would you like to keep these settings?"

And it still doesn't permanently change? How about if you do a "restore to default settings"? 267.76 default's to "auto-select."

Same thing happens. It selects 'Auto Select', then reinstates High Performance when I check back in.

Download and install the brand new 270.51 driver from nVidia. Just be sure to choose a "Custom Install" and check the option to perform a "Clean Install."

Do what the above poster said, except do a custom clean install with 267.76 drivers first, if that doesn't work, then downgrade to the 266.58 drivers. Finally, if that doesn't work, then try 270.51, because it is a beta driver.
