i was thinking during one of my computer mathematics lessons how cool it would be to be able to change individual letters on the keyboard to different colours, so for example the WASD keys are green, and the rest of the keyboard is say... blue, anyone know of this to be possible? or do i have a little programming project on my hands?

I am sorry but it can't be done, as there is only one LED used to colour the keyboard.

To correct you, there isn't only 1 LED there's only 1 LED controller.

To do what you want to do, you must have a M15X or higher (Not sure about M14X)

You can do it, but it requires some modding.... First you need to take your keyboard apart, block off the wasd keys form the led strip (strip is on the left side) then you will need install the leds from the alienware logo on the screen into these keys. When thats done you should have control over the wasd keys, but loose the alienware logo.

Its not a easy mod, but its something that I have on the back burner of my mods list (tablet and docking station are my tops right now)
