Anyone experience this ? my m11x shuts down when I place my m11x on the table a little rough. I had it running a flash video like on youtube but I had to move so when I place it down ( it was kinda rough hit ) on the table and it shuts down. It's more like hibernate because when I hit the power button everything was still there?

Is this some kind of drop protection or some kind of problem? I've search on this forum but I couldn't find anything similar to it. It is weird because when I turn it back on everything was still there so I'm not sure what really happen.

Correct, the M11x hard drives have a free fall sensor. Sounds like you already had this one figured out :)

Yeam its the free fall sensor. It's there to prevent the head from making contact with the platter on the HDD, which can cause damage to you HDD rendering it useless or currupted. Just be careful. One of the reasons I like SSDs.
