hey guys i just got my m11x r3 yesterday and when im playing crysis 2 last night the 540m was working just fine and now im trying to play right now and the fps are around 9 to 10 instead of 30 to 35 on very high so my guess is it's using the Intel gpu instead of the 540m can you guys give my some advice on how to get it back to the 540m?

whats odd is when its plugged into an outlet it works fine but when it's on battery the 540m does not kick in

If it's low performance on battery and not when plugged in, it's most likely because of power settings. Change your Windows power settings, Alien Fusion power settings, and Nvidia power settings to high performance on battery and it should help.

yes go to alien fx and select high performance. scroll to where the cpu is at and you will notice that it was set at 10% on battery and 100% on charger. So what you have to do is delete the 10% and retype it to 100% and that should fix your fps issue with all your games on battery.

I had to set 2 more settings to get it to full speed on battery

there is also a gpu setting in the fusion, its set to balanced on battery, change it to max performance

and in the nvidia control panel, under 3d settings there is a Power Management mode setting, it was on adaptive, changed it to prefer maximum performance
