Settings? Details? Actual Error Message? R1 or R2? System info?

You may have OC the GPU too high. I got a DX9 error on most games whenever I did this
-
No. This is a driver issue, I am having the same problem. Just Cause 2 doesn't work with the beta drivers. It works with the official drivers, but then almost none of the other games do.
This is currently my most frustrating issue with the unit as it's the game I'm playing most.
The game won't even load, crashes on start, even with nothing overclocked and gives the following screen:
Failed! Direct X error!
Code:3
Result: 0x887A0002 DXGI_ERROR_NOT_FOUND
The game will now exit. Try starting the game with /failsafe if the problem persist.
Of course, failsafe mode doesn't work either.
I'm running the game through STEAM, but it won't play either when I go into Steamapps and find the game and it's executable.
If any modders or programmers have any ideas, I'm dying for a fix.
Cheers -
Download the latest version of PhysX Software from Nvidia
NVIDIA DRIVERS 9.10.0224
Install it and try your game again. it should fix your problem -
The only thing that makes Just Cause 2 play is to go back to the stock drivers.
Sorry, I should've specified that.
Any other ideas? -
No idea why JC2 is not working but please post this problem here too Board Message
If more ppl post there about Optimus problems the more likely it will get fixed as Nvidia get's to know about the scope of these problems. -
sorry to hear that didnt work out for you. did you try updating your directx thru microsoft? validate your just cause 2 cache data in steam (might not make any sense but worth a try)?
last thing would be too much a hassle but after trying the above 2 also try to uninstall your beta drivers and physx then run driver sweep in safe mode. after that reinstall your nvidia driver follow by the latest physx.
not sure after doing all these would help since i dont have just cause 2. thought of buying it during the steam sales but was kinda reluctant at the end since i drop the idea of buying it when it launch on PS3, dont quite make sense i suddenly buy because of m11x -
a side note there was once i did tried a game which i also get some dx9 error with something not found error which is similar to what you have. cant remember the exact msg thou. but it was fix after updating directx.
-
I also have this exact same problem, and would really like to get this game to work. Can someone tell me how to get the stock drivers back? Like how do I uninstall my current ones, then install the stock ones.
-
its on dell site. just remember to use driver sweeper which u can find it at guru3d to wipe clean your current drivers in safe mode then install back the stock
-
Yes, reverting to the old dell drivers caused mine to work.
-
The new beta drivers from NVidia (258.69) don't fix it either.
They need to get a fix for this game asap, as it's nowy only issue with my m11x -
I'm having the same error. m11x R2 with the latest dell nvidia drivers installed. I had to upgrade to the 257.30 drivers on dell's site to get any of my other games to work, but now Just Cause 2 won't work at all (the same dxgi error not found problem). I have the latest directx and physx installed as well.
-
NO dont go back to the stock drivers...install the modded Nvidia 259.22 drivers and Just Cause 2 will work great(30 fps on high).
-
Modded drivers solved most of my issues. Just Cause 2 Direct x error being one of them.
Still get booted in BC2 though. By the time that gets fixed I wont want to play the game anymore. -
-
FYI - Steam was having a sale for 7.50 on the game today, downloaded it, and got error.....was running on 257.30, but got the new 260.99 and it works just fine.
-
how about the 265.90?
-
I use the latest Nvidia offcial driver and works perfect....
-
im having this same error, i tried installing the newest nvidia drivers, to no avail and the newest modded ones that kopicha uploaded. any ideas?
ps sorry if this is considered grave digging or whatever its called
