The photo above is not editted. I have an alienware m11x and this has actually been happening for as long as I could remember but I was too lazy to ever address it. Is there a reason why the top bar and list on the left keep blacking out? When i start dragging it around rapidly it comes back to its regular self but then turns black again after a while...

Which M11x model do you have? You can try re-installing the graphic card driver and itunes, that should fix it.

its an R1 i believe and i've already tried reinstalling the graphics card and itunes. is there a way to take off the default program loading bar (the frame where you click to drag the program)?

Hmm, no idea how to remove the bar at the top, I myself don't use itunes, so I can't say if this is an isolated problem. Does making the window fullscreen and switching between the graphic cards help?

Ah. thats the AW theme doodad. (Stardock?)

Try disabling it for a test and I'll bet it all looks ok. You might also try the equiv of a "restart" by changing the theme then changing back. The Orb looks like an add-on on top of the dock theme program so that is another variable.

Are you noticing this after using a full screen program? Like a game etc? Sometimes themes go a little wonky when asked to go to basic then back again.

Disable/Uninstall Stardock My Colors or just add itunes to the exception list.
