Grrrr, so WHAT is exactly the advantage of buying an i7 that costs 150 dollars more?

My M11x has not arrived, but when I paid for it there were no benchmarks comparing it to anything. I should've waited more :)

advantage for i7 is it's 200mhz faster than i5. so that's like 3-4 seconds (based on wprime result) faster in cpu intensive app. So to upgrade from i5 to i7, you are paying ~75 cents per 1mhz.

i7 640um scored 29 seconds(oc'ed slightly) in wprime by a user here in nbr. 520um here was not oc'ed

    Thanks, good answer :)

I'd like to see some direct comparisons between R2's with i5 and i7, it's about time.

If budget is a concern, get the the I5. The differences will not be noticeable outside of benchmarks. Only reason I got the I7 was due to the good EPP deal when the R2 first launched.

Wish I'd known this when I ordered my i7, I'd have gone for more RAM or HD space :(

I would think so--Plus the video said they had a demo unit.

A shrewd buyer would average different benchmarks to get a better picture of the score.
