it's a great little compact machine, but in the end, there are too many tradeoffs with it vs. being able to play the latest and greatest at high settings. i don't have the room for a full desktop gaming rig, but i also don't have a need for a laptop as small as the M11x...15-17 inches with upgraded hardware is what i truly want, so...

i ended up pulling the trigger on a Sager NP8130:

    - Processor - 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-2630QM, 2.0-2.8GHz, (32nm, 6MB L3 cache)
    - Ram ~ 8,192MB DDR3 1333MHz Dual Channel Memory (2 SODIMMS)
    - Graphics Video Card nVidia GeForce GTX 560M 1,536MB PCI-Express GDDR5 DX11

yeehaww! i need to get ready for Skyrim and BF3, so this is a present to myself. the GTX 560M looks like a beast. i'll continue to lurk on these forums because it's a pretty good community, and the M11x will always have a place in my heart.

Nice, that looks like quite some beast. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

You'll be more than welcome to stick around here... and see what you're missing ;)

Hey guys, this might sound a little odd, but I'm the dude that actually bought his m11x. This is my second day using it and it's a great machine. I've been playing Crysis 2 on it this morning and it's crazy. Thanks frescagod again, the machine is great, and if any of you guys have the opportunity to buy from him don't hesitate, he's gone above and beyond what a normal seller would do. Anyway, back on topic, if any of you guys are browsing through this that are wondering if this is a good buy, I for one love it, it's well built, quiet, and cool (aesthetically and temperature wise).

Hopefully I can be as lucky as you two. Been trying to sell my r2 for a while now and I can't buy my replacement until I sell...

I'm looking to get $600-650. I'm assuming shipping to the UK would be cost prohibitive though.

glad it's working out. i just transferred the Dell warranty over to you as well. are you getting used to the 11.6" screen? it took me a good month to get used to 24" all the way down to 11.6 (but i eventually did).
