Control Panel > System and Security > System > under Processor you'll see if it's 1.3 or 1.7

I checked there before, but it says Both:

    U7300 @ 1.3 GHz 1.73GHz

it says that before and after every switch the gfx makes

If it says 1.73GHz, then that's it. There won't be any mention of 1.73GHz when it's actually at 1.3GHz, but 1.3GHz is hard-coded into the name of the processor.

yea. I figured it out. there's a little icon on the toolbar that has choices between performance mode, and battery mode.

but on a side note so i don't have to make another thread. I have titans Quest on my m11x. non steam. How do i play without using the disk? I know on d2 there was a file you moved from the d2 disk to the file on your hard drive

If your hands shake, you feel jittery, wide awake, and you want more coffee NOW...you're overclocked.

Interestingly enough, Windows says mine is 1.73GhZ, but CPU-Z states it's only 1.6. Ugh. Confused- work boring! Must have coffee :p
