So I am installing a 160GB SSD drive in the next week and am wondering if I should buy an external enclosure for $15-$20 for the Dell 160GB 5200 Hard drive and use that for movies or if I should just get an external DVD player. I can buy a 16GB jump drive and external HD enclosure for the same price of a DVD/CD burner. so those are my two choices because if I have the DVD player I won't need the jump drive or external HD, so the real issue is really power consumption, will the DVD player or HD use more power? I am obviously thinking "how much movie watching time will I have with no nearby outlet"

Yeah I did a search, found a few threads but no good answers, just speculation, no real numbers...
