    ok, kinda newbie question.

I have the new nvidia 258.96 drivers.

I want to connect to a monitor via hdmi? is there a way to close the screen entirely and be able to play games. I will of course use a wireless keyboard and mouse.

the M11x is the fastest machine I have r2 i7 and want to play starcraft 2 on a larger screen. Anyone doing this any tips? thanks friend.

Fn + F1 will cycle through 3 different display modes.

    LCD Only
    LCD + HDMI/Display Port
    HMDI/Display Port Only

In order to be able to close your lid you'll need to change your power plan settings so that closing the lid is set to "Do nothing".

careful the wifi antenna is around the screen and your signal will drop drastically if you close the lid. only do this if you are plugged in directly or your comp is sitting right next to your router!

    wrong quote lol

You should be able to run at the monitors native resolution. I also read in a thread somewhere around here that your monitor needs to be set as your primary display for you to get the option for native resolution. Let us know how it goes and if you get any change in FPS...especially in SC2

Yeah, I play SC2, with my R1 plugged into a my receiver, which feeds a projector. It passes the sound and video perfectly over the HDMI cable. I'm very pleased with how well it works.

Iv heared that keeping your lid closed on your laptop can damage the lcd screen on it. I would never game with your laptop on with the screen closed but thats just me. I think the heat from the base of the laptops can ruin it is what my intake on past posts about this topic have revealed.
