I was just wondering if there is even a slight chanse that the m11x r2, I7, could stand up to the performance of the xps 14 I5 or I7. I am thinking of returning my r2 ang get the xps instead. Can anyone ofer a list of pros and cons of geting one over the other?
I tried searching but could not find a lot on the forum on this.

the xps 14 can only compete with m11x if it has the main 2 components

    Battery Life
    Portability/Mobility (weight,size dimensions)

If you are talking about just performance and raw power, a lot of the 15" laptops especially from Asus will beat the crap out of the xps 14

If you want raw performance, or bang-for-your-buck performance, the Alienware M11x is not the laptop for you. The strongest differentiator of the Alienware M11x is the portability you get for a laptop of its power.

If you are more interested in raw power or bang-for-your-buck than portability, then the Alienware M11x is not the laptop for you. You can get other laptops that are cheaper and more powerful.

But I still would not buy the new Dell XPS'es. Those things are ugly as sin.

If the XPS 14 has a larger screen, normal CPU (not UVL) and better (?) GPU, and around the same battery as the m11x, expect 2 hours max of battery life, with normal use, a lot less gaming....

The biggest battery for the XPS 14 in the Dell store is 6 cell, the m11x has a 8 cell

Yeah, but is extra, the 8 cell in the m11x is default, still, is your money, is your time, both laptops should be awesome, I have the m11x and is great...
