company of heroes r2 issue/ roll call

hey guys been beating my head off a wall in the steam forums trying to solve this,

basically has anyone who owns a R2 got the steam version of company of heroes working on their pc,

when i try to load mine it instantly goes to a bug report,

a email to THQ produced some not very helpfull info, and they seem not to bothered to fix it.

This is an issue with these types of machines. If the DXDIAG reports that the Intel HD Graphics is the default device, then the game will only recognize that device. You will need to contact the manufacturer of the system in order to properly ensure that device is disabled so the Nvidia chip can take over for graphics.

anyone know of a fix/ workaround? since im pretty sure the nvidia graphic card outputs via the intel so disabling it is not an option here.

 

Have you put the game in your White list? I have no problems with the game on my R2.

 

yeah its all whitelisted and tried the latest nvidia and beta drivers,

 

K, sry I played this in one player mode on my m11xR2. i did not play this in multiplayer except on my desktop. What I have read is the nvidia driver making PB thinking its a hack (all PB games do not work). You already knew this. What I have read, but not tested yet is the new beta driver is suppose to work. Also someone came out with a driver but I lost the link. I am sure that there is an answer buried somewhere out there. Also older drivers work, but I doubt they will work with our video card. If I find something I will get back with you.

 

k since I have posted last I installed the latest 266.35beta driver from nvidia and manually updated Punkbuster. I played in a PB for 25 mins and no kick but so far 1 game crash and a few weird graphic lines flashed across the screen. I will continue to play and test. If I get a kick or no kick with this driver I will let you know.

 

Haven't tried MP (not adept at this game) but singleplayer and campaign worked when I tried 'em a few months back.

 

okay after several hours of game play with the 266.35beta driver I have not been kick out by PB. I have not tried this driver with COD BO or wow. The weird graphic lines have not come back since I first tested it. How has this Beta driver been doing for everyone else?
