    bios v3

    firstly my apologies if this has already been discussed.

    i have just updated my bios from v01 to v03 and annoyingly they still have not fixed Fn+F2? also the fan seems to be on ALL the time now where before it was quiet most of the time and you could only hear it every now and then but now its just on ALL the time which is driving me around the bend. This happened to anybody else ?

    In the release notes they also state that the mem goes upto 1000mhz when overclocked however CPUZ still states it at 400mhz? so it is not at 1000mhz ?

    has anybody else who has updated there bios had these problems and secondly how can i downgrade my bios back to v01 ??

    EDIT: just read the "M11X R03 BIOS Released" page. i have now downgraded and everything is now quiet again :)

    fn+f2 will never be functional, Dell stated this already
    the user manual is wrong about this feature

    with v3 the fan kicks in about 3-4 degrees lower than with v1 which means that the machine is kept cooler but well the fan is active almost every time
