just putting it out there. the US sight has an m11x for $699. Don't know if it's an R2 or R3, but the graphics card is 335M so I'm guessing its an R2.

It's an R1 with an Intel Core 2 Duo with a GT 335M. Make sure you buy it with 4 GB of ram because it's extremely difficult to find DDR3 800 mhz ram.

You can only get an Intel Core i3 if you live in Asia.

You don't *need* 800MHz DDR3 RAM. DDR3 1066 or 1333 RAM will work too. They are cheap and easy to find.

And the $699 one is the R2 with i3-330um.

I guess they had to many leftover i3's. I am glad they at least brought back a cheaper model, even if it isnt an R1

it seems that the factory OCed R1 may be better than the factory OCed (i3) R2. once you take away Turbo boost, the i3 looks to be just as powerful as the SU7300. but with only 5.5hrs batt life its not much of a reason to go with it over the R1.

Yea i can get 7hrs easy out of my R1 some times i can get close to 8hrs if it sits idle for about 25% of the time. truly awesome!

The R2 (i5) i had for 2 week got 5.5hrs at best with the same settings and OS image. normally id only get about 4.5hrs out of it tho.

Yeah I did an idle test and got 9.5 hours, but that was just idle, screen at minimum, wi-fi on. Didn't mean to really, just thought I'd let it idle and see what BatteryBar would tell me after an hour or so. Forgot about it, went to bed with it on, woke up 7 hours later and it was still on, lol. So I just let it got to shut down at 5%.

    Hello, first post here.

I just ordered an R1 from Dell Outlet with 4G RAM, 500G HD and Sys 7 Pro for $669. It was there for two days before I bought it (researching furiously) so demand for the R1 must not be too high.

They did have alot of low priced R2's at one time got mine in my sig for $599 a few months back. that i3 in there that's an odd ball for sure! My wife Inspiron 15r has an i3 350 and its pretty nice.

That's because the M11x uses an Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) CPU and the i3-350m is a regular mobile chip.

I do know that they are the same chip though just different clock and power usage. same feature set though. And if the M11x i3 can clock up like they say than it will perform the same since the reg mobile part is a fixed clock. What i meant by odd ball was until now i have never seen a M11x with a i3 just i5 and i7's.

I know in Europe the i3 has been an option multiple times. It'd be interesting to see how one of these OC'd.
