    I recently ordered a new M11x R1 (the $549 deal)
Now that I have it, I would like to register it in Dell's My Support page

For the life of me, I can't get it in
I tried the O vs 0, 1 vs I, etc. None of them work

I noticed there's an online chat link

Great. Click it. It asked for Service Tag...

I put it in, and now it complains that my Service Tag is not for the correct Region that I am in now (United States)

If I ordered my M11x R1 thru alienware website, and the order/invoice is showing up correctly in Dell's My Support homepage, how can I tell which region my Service Tag is from?

Call support and have them sort it out for you.

I am trying to find dell's support number
Everywhere I go it's asking for the service tag, but it doesn't take my tag!!!

    Argh...

    EDIT: Doh...
    Start Internet Explorer on laptop
One of the tab is Alienware Client Services, and it has a phone number...
    1-866-287-6727
I am told that service tag was not added to the machine during manufacturing, and that's why it doesn't work, and the department who can do this closed 30 minutes ago
So I need to call back tomorrow...

Odd. I'm having the same problem with an HP ML380 G5 server right now. The serial number doesn't exist according to HP.

    Good luck.

My service tag doesnt even match the one in the bios, nor does it match the number given to me by the dell tech guys... so I have 3 tags for one computer.

Tech support is sorting it all out for me though, so they should be able to help you out easy.
