Hey, im an owner of a M11x R1 C2D model with the CPU overclocked in bios to 1.77 (i think thats the correct amount)
I have recently reinstalled World of Warcraft and even with all settings on low, everything low, i seem to be getting serious frame rate issues.
I am using the 260.99 drivers. I cant find a nVidia profile anywhere. so its set to stock.
Is there anything i can do do increase performance on this little machine?
I was concerned about one thing thou, in the nvidia control panel under System information it says
[Display]
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit
DirectX version: 11.0
GPU processor: GeForce GT 335M
Driver version: 260.99
CUDA Cores: 72
Core clock: 450 MHz
Shader clock: 1080 MHz
Memory clock: 790 MHz (1580 MHz data rate)
Memory interface: 128-bit
Total available graphics memory: 2798 MB
Dedicated video memory: 1024 MB DDR3
System video memory: 0 MB
Shared system memory: 1774 MB
Video BIOS version: 70.15.3C.00.A3
IRQ: 16
Bus: PCI Express x16
Is all this how it should be?
Any help? advice on GOOD drivers etc would be greatly appreciated.
Also, i am running No addons. Stock install with all patches + all expansions.

is your fps dipping only in places where there are lots of players (Dalaran, Wintergrasp, Marrowgar25ICC)? If Yes then that is normal because what you are experiencing is not a hardware or lack of gpu/cpu power lag, that is the bandwidth lag when there are too many people in one area casting etc.. Even beefed up latest desktop gaming pc lags with too many people.
But if you are experiencing low fps for example outside of Elwynn Forrest or Durotar and just leveling killing mobs and you are getting below 30fps when nobody is around you then you might be either running on Intel Integrated GPU or using a bad driver
Also check shadow settings and make sure it is not all the way up, a notch or 2 from below should be perfect. Even beefed up desktop gaming pc right now lags horribly with shadows all the way up. -
Try the forum search feature - we have multiple threads on 11x and WoW settings.
Although for the R2, take a look at the settings toward the last page of this thread:
