I did a search but did not see any posts specifically about this game? Can the R3 run this at decent FPS and settings? Like 1280 x 720 and medium. Can it handle DX11?

I talked to someone who has an r1 and they said they get good framerates on medium so the r3 should be fine with 1280X720, probobly on high too at least. DX11 might even make the game run better, I know several of my games run better in dx 10 than dx 9 on my r1

Thanks! I may pick this one up when I get my R3. This is one game that I am certain my MacBook air could not even run!

The Witcher 2 is a DirectX 9 game.

Most DX11 technologies are poorly implemented to say the least in these "DX11 compatible" games.

Give it another 2 years and we might actually see the benefits of DX11, by then there shall be DX12 games and people will moan about them.

The higher the DirectX does in theory mean better graphics, doesn't mean the developers are using it properly. Witcher 2 is a very well put together DX9 game.

yeah it means better graphics but i can tell you for a fact that i have seen huge performace spikes in using DX10 as opposed to DX9, like metro 2033, it went from unplayable without being in 1024 by whatever in DX9 to me actually cranking settings up to medium in DX10 when i saw my framerate hit 75 on low (and with 1280X768). and i saw a 10FPS increase in Far Cry 2 in DX10 as opposed to DX9
