    well check and see if windows is detecting the wireless card if its not then it might need to be replaced also if it is the one that comes with the alienware there are 2 different driver sets for different cards are you sure you downloaded the correct one? also make sure you have your service packs updated as i have noticed if they are not you can have some problems installing new software sometimes hope this helps

    Rather than running the installer, try extracting the driver and then updating via device manager by pointing to where you extracted to.
