    Windows 7 clean install

    Looking for some help here. Ive searched the web and got a million different answers.

    My HD that came with my R1 died, so I picked up a new one, did an install of windows using the CD my R1 came with.

    Here lies the problem, I'm running windows 7. I dont have any of my alienware programs, I can't switch graphic, my wireless card isnt working.

    Sorry for asking such a dumb question, but ive never had to go through this. From what I understand there is a certain order I have to install everything in? Is this true, and if so can someone help me out. Losing homework was bad enough, can someone help me sort out these problems so I can get back to using my computer somewhere other than sitting on top ofmy desktop with the ethernet cable hooked up.

    I did that, followed everything. I shut down my computer and windows installed 138 updates. Everything seems to be working perfect except the wireless card. I have no wireless connection. But the little wifi light is on above the keyboard. I haven't had much time to tinker with it because of work but and suggestions?

    Thanks for pointing me towards that thread though, helped a lot!
