Hey. I have a question about the provided Windows 7 Home Premium cd that was included with the laptop. From what I understand, that is a clean Windows 7, not a restore disc with all the alienware crap on it, correct? That being said, can I use this Windows 7 cd and install it on another computer without any problems? Would it work?

yeppers, i heard that it's either the same or better even with the alienware stuff on your laptop (as long as you don't use certain things like facial recognition) - it's not that bloated, you can easily be fine without the fresh install

I used it to install Windows 7 on my desktop when I reformatted recently. However unlike normal Windows 7 (allows up to three computers) this is an OEM copy which only enables you to register the code to one computer so after 30 days it will bug you to verify it. I felt legitimately ripped off when I found this out. The only Alienware thing on it is that it will say and show that your computer was manufactured by Alienware. The rest of the Alienware stuff isn't on it.
