The Kingston HyperX 120 GB, has the Sandforce sf-2281 software that allows it to run at 6GB/s. and advertises 500+ read and write. That sounds great but I am thinking I would not that that kind of performance on my little 3GB/s M11xR2.
Would it still be faster then the 120GB Intel SSD 320 that can only go to 3GB/s with 270 read and 165 write? The Intel is $80 cheaper and was rated as most reliable buy Tom's Hardware.
I really want fast for gaming.

Unless im mistaken I think the r1 and r2's can only handle 3GB/s Harddrive transfer rate, the r3's can do 6GB/s. The Kingston will work but it will just be scaled back in your machine down to 3GB/s but it really wont matter, It's still an SSD and I challenge anyone to complain that their 3GB/s SSD is "Too Slow". Even if the r2's could handle 6GB/s I would go for the Intel, them and Samsung are the most reliable SSD's out there and the last thing you want is for the Drive to fail on you. Get the Intel.

I also think that you shouldn't worry much about speed; concern yourself more with reliability. Look for drives known to have low failure rates. -
Also worth checking out is Plextor, they have a 5 year warranty!
reviews are pretty good too. -
okay Intel it is.
Thanks for the response.
I sure wish there were benchmarks for the new SSDs running in a 3GB/s machine like my R2. -
Found the answer to my question on a little blip on Tom's Hardware guide.
"Even if you don't own a 6 Gb/s-capable motherboard, we still recommend the Force 3 because of its ability to fully saturate a SATA 3Gb/s controller, whereas older solutions options can't."
Now I am back to the HyperX -

Will the 6 GB/s SSDs run slower in the M11xR2?
