Hi guys, first time poster here, but have been reading this forum for a while and I see a lot of smart people here. Tried to search, but didn't find an answer. I received my m11x R2 about a week ago. I have couple of little problems with it, nothing serious though, thank God. My biggest issue right now is my Wi-Fi, when used with the router. Basically for the first few days I didn't have any problems, but for the past couple of days it's been kind of buggy. It connects to my router just fine, but most of the time gives me "No internet connection" message, my desktop in the same room never has any problems. Sometimes it appears to be working, let's me online, I go to Chrome, pull up couple of web sites, all of a sudden it slows down dramatically and goes back to "No internet connection" in a matter of seconds. The same happens at my friend's house, but At work it's running like a dream. I used to have an ASUS EeePC and it never had any problems, 2 of my desktops are always fine too, my iPod touch sometimes acts similar, shows connected but internet doesn't work. I'm guessing an IP issue, "An other computer on the network has the same IP address" my desktop gave me last night (although worked fine, m11x didn't). I tried to google the issue and was messing with my network connections setting, but no luck. Any suggestions, links or anything? I apologize for a long post.

If you have IP conflicts at home then you need to look at DHCP settings on your router. Perhaps it's set to only allow a very small number of concurrent DHCP leases (IP addresses). A lot of routers will allow you to see connected clients which would give you a clear idea which other computers on your network are sharing IP addresses.

When this happens again try the following:

Start > Run > cmd > [ETNER] > type "ipconfig"

note the IP address you have then issue the following command "ipconfig /release" followed by "ipconfig /renew". Same IP address?

Thanks man, tried it at my friend's house, seems to be working right now, IP address is 192.168.0.38. Will try it at home tomorrow, hopefully it's all it needs. Thanks again.

I think I was celebrating too early, it worked for a while and then stopped, the same thing, it shows online but nothing is loading. At that point if I do "ipconfig /reliese" it tells me something like "operation can not be performed while media is disconnected" 4 times.
