Well, some time ago i saw a guy who put the 3m vinyl sticker with carbon fiber texture and i loved it so i copy him cos i was bored of the color and dirt/fingerprints/sh&$ of the outside cover so i made the same, it was harder than i thought, it have some parts where i didnt cut the sticker very nice and a lot of stuff, but i really like how it looks,

    Here the pictures

Looks good, I didn't even know that white CF vinyl was available.

Ah not my thing lol, especially the bottom & corners & cut-outs for the ports. Honestly it might look alright if the entire chassis was stripped and then wrapped and re-assembled i think it would be more seamless but i would still leave the bottom cover un-covered. I just don't like vinyl covers in general though (just think vinyl looks tacky and looks really bad when it gets worn down).

It's a good job and from far it looks great, just not something i'd do to mine.

    Google ejohnson's M11x "Portal white".

He stripped it down and repainted it.
    Looks amazing.

I agree with Rishwin, good from a far, but up close it does look a bit tacky... Reminds me of primary school and having covered books...

Each to their own though. :)

yeah, i saw that, ejhonson's m11x looks sick.

i know that the corners and ports looks weird, it was really hard and this is my first time working with vinyls, i have like 2.5 sqr ft left to redo it if i want.

i just ordered an m14x and im planing to do the same (maybe paying to an expert guy to do it) or maybe painting it matte white, but i really like how it looks in black on white

Good effort. I didn't trust my skills enough to attempt the bottom half so I just stuck with the top half.

I had given a spare base a try with some brushed aluminum, it turned out ok, biggest pain is the ports. You need to cut the hole in the sticker smaller than the ports, then use a heat gun to melt it a little as you form it into the contours of the ports.
