ok, I am wondering what everyone is using for there 335M video driver on the R1?

I have used the Hybrid 260.99 and am not sure if it was the cause of the video card failure 2 on my last MB replacement or if it was a faulty MB. I have been using the 197.72 from the Dell site. But I want to know if there is a better one that is stable and will handle CODBO and CODMW4 along with BBC2 with out any problems? I have used the search option and cam across numerous findings but I also dont want to read through a thread with over 100 pages.

SO what are all you R1 users using for your graphics driver and any issues?

Edit: I had an R1 (passed it on to my bro) all the following is based on personal experience from when I used it to play these exact games.

The driver won't impact many of these games. I used the default 197.72 on my R1 and could play MW4 and BlOps on mine at high settings (AA off). BC2 is very CPU dependent and will need to be run at low settings no matter what the driver on the R1. For stability you will definitely want the dell drivers. Community built drivers are relatively stable but they always have the chance of harming your system. To be safe stick to 197.72 you will not get that much, if any, improvement for these games as a lot of the performance comes from the CPU (especially blackops). The reason I say this is that I upgraded to my i7 R2 and can play BC2 on all high getting the same FPS that i did on all Low on the R1. The 260.xx community drivers may get you about 2-5extra fps but that won't help much in shooters.

CoD: Black Ops will run horribly because of its crap port, you have to wait for a patch. BFBC2 is a CPU heavy game because of the destruction engine.

I remember a couple of months ago, people were complaining about the lag/fps drops on the R1 and the R2. I have stock drivers too. What FPS are you getting? Because the R1 and R2 were advertised to run the CoD4 engine flawless. I heard Cod BO uses the WaW engine which sorta sucked on the R1.

Me too. I tried RigelKent's drivers and they worked fine, mostly. I noticed some minor performance differences but nothing to write home about. BFBC2 is still unplayable for me, regardless of the driver. It just pushes the r1 CPU too hard.

Just use the stock drivers and overclock a bit.

I've only tried it with WoW so far, but I got 60fps @ native res with no AA, 4x ani and everything else on good (except shadows turned down, seems to be the biggest FPS suck with that game.)
