    All modern 7200rpm drives pretty much perform the same. They are a commodity, which is exactly why Dell can freely swap different drives from different vendors without anyone really noticing or complaining.

    I could sit you in front of three identical machines, except they have different 7200rpm 2.5" modern hard drives from Samsung, Hitachi, and Western Digital. And you would not be able to tell the difference between any of them, short of using a synthetic benchmark.

    Soon swapped it out for an SSD though, was far to slow other wise.

    I don't even remember, as soon as I got it I swapped in a Seagate Momentus 500GB XT. God I love that hdd lol

    Mine was a toshiba but I've changed it to a Corsair 120gb SSD and with it loading windows in 17 seconds = WIN!
