I got a BSOD on stock(275.33) and on older drivers(260.99) the computer doesn't go BSOD but the app freezes where it seems like it should BSOD and requires me to go to task manager to stop the app. But then when I try to start the app again it doesn't work because in the processes tree the game is active but when i try to end it from task manager it doesn't which requires me to shutdown. But when I use the shutdown button in windows it goes to the shutdown screen but stays there. This makes me press the alienhead to shutoff. I also seem to be crashing in old games like Halo Custom Edition even though it runs a constant max of 60 fps and one time I got a BSOD. Would this be enough to say that I have a bad GPU and would it warrant a warranty claim? Or is there a known quick fix to these problems?

Your really shouldn't be having these problems if you just got the computer (i think you did from your previous posts). I think 1 think to try is to do a complete reinstall of windows 7, and reinstall all the drivers in the proper order. After that if your still experiencing instability in your system (with nothing overclocking) definitely call up alienware and explain to them whats happening.

It is completely unacceptable for a computer to be crashing out of the box with no overclocking, and they will have to fix it for you
