    Hi guys,

having seen the inside of a M11xR2 i noticed that there is a WWAN slot free. That should be a normal mini-PCI-Express slot. Is that correct ?

If that's true has someone experience with these kind of SSD cards ?
(Some info i gathered since yesterday)
32GB Runcore Pro IV Light 50mm mini-SATA PCI-e Solid State Drive SSD
Samsung mini-PCIe SSD: up to 64GB of super-compact storage - SlashGear
Netbook SSD | Super Talent Technology - SSD | Solid State Drives

It would be awesome if you could just insert such an SSD inside the M11x's WWAN slot for running an OS and still being able to have an additionla 500 GB SATA-HDD. That would combine a fast SSD with a decent capacity at a cheap price.

What do you think about that ?

I have no experience with them, and I don't know if this is true but from what I've read they are aren't near as fast as a SATA SSD because they generally don't have as many NAND flash chips (since they are smaller), and mini-PCIe has a slower transfer rate than SATA/SATA II.

The ssd that would fit has a different pin layout that the pci slot does. It will physically fit, but wont work.
