I just updated my BIOS from A03 to A04. Can anyone confirm that this lowered the RAM by .2 GB
I attached a screen shot of my system information and I noticed it says 4GB total RAM (3.8 useable)
I don't remember seeing this before, but it could be my mind just playing tricks and this has always been how it is...?

P.s. what does it mean to have 3.8 useable, why support 4 if 3.8 is only useable ? (Like what would cause the limitation..?)

If you are in Intel GPU mode then it will be using that for video memory. Switch to nVidia mode and see what it says (might have to reboot with nVidia active).

Hmmm, just checked mine, but it doesn't say 3.8, it says 4GB total that's it. My BIO is A05 though, and I did a clean install of windows if that matters.

Doesn't that .2 go towards the Intel graphics? My M11x has been displaying that since I received it as far as I know.

Word. So in R2 the .2 kicks in when optimus kicks in?
