When it comes to batteries I usually order straight from the manufacturer. I was just curious if there was a better upgrade when it came to the battery. The one that originally comes with the laptop is 6-cell correct? So is there a 8-cell or 9-cell that works? I am very ignorant when it comes to this area of the computer.

    Thanks,

The M11x battery is an 8 cell. Due to the fixed enclosure you're not going to see larger capacity batteries. There might eventually be aftermarket brands available that may cost less, but there aren't any yet that I'm aware of.
