Hi everybody! I have a R3 Alienware M11x with 4 GB RAM and a 320 GB HDD. For some odd reason Ubuntu 11+ runs very hot on my laptop and the fan goes crazy.

I am completely wiping my hard drive right now. How many partitions are good for a better performance for a 320 GB. Thanks in advance.

I installed Bumblebee so that I could control when the GPU is on, it really helped with battery life.

My R2 gets a little hot as well, I'll have to check out Bumblebee. Thanks heaps for sharing BitByteBit.
