Anyone managed to install Ubuntu into their M11x successfully? How do you go about doing it? Any simplified method to do it?

seems very complicating.... I was looking for a all in one installation package plus all the drivers ready in one page. Maybe I am too stupid...

I did it using Virtualbox. I am downloading the 10.10 Ubuntu Beta version and will see how it goes. It's pretty cool to have the ability to play around with other OS's.

I forgot to mention I had to uninstall Dell Datasafe because every time it updated it messed up Grub.

Did you manage to do it without disabling Dell Datasafe? I found this website. Thought it might help. SourceForge.net: Boot Problems:Windows Writes To MBR - bootinfoscript

I repartioned my harddrive from scratch and havent reinstalled ubuntu yet, so have not tested one of these methods myself yet.

I didn't bother trying, as I use Acronis for backups. Sorry.
