Is there a way to get rid of it? I just want to use Discrete graphics for everything on the R2. I know that on the R1 you can switch to discrete in the bios but in the R2 there's no such option!

There's no such option because it's not possible.

I'm asking because in windows experience index I have a score of 2.8 because optimus doesn't turn on during the test :(

So the only reason you want to turn it off is to get a higher WEI score? You do realise WEI is useless right?

Agreed... It doesn't negatively affect system performance since when you're doing anything that needs more power, the 335m will come on = the point of optimus.

To answer you question, the closest you can do is change the global setting in the nvidia control panel to always use the 335. The reason that you can't go discrete only is that, even if the 335m is running, all video still goes through the integrated chip.

Is it possible to INF mod an old driver that doesn't support optimus to over-ride it?

Haha, Just tryin to think outside the box

2.8 is the aero score which doesnt mean anything anyways (btw mine is 3.5 thats weird how its different), for the 3D gaming test, the nvidia 335m gt kicks in an says it is 6.5 and I think the max WDI score you can get is 8 (1.5 off). which is very good.

"Aero desktop" only tests GPU memory bandwidth. Since WEI is probably not coded to take advantage of Optimus (and nor shall it ever be, IMO), it get's a low score, likely due to the test only utilizing the Intel GPU's shared bandwidth. Useless test, but whatever.

R1 isn't crap, If you are happy with your R2 then that's good but it seems that you're having sleepless nights with the nvidia gpu not kicking in on the windows index score because of Optimus. Guess what? With R1 that is not an issue. Real Talk

ROFL. I see you chose the well fare R2 i5 instead of the i7 that tops out at 3.1 GHz. Real talk.
