I just installed a 750gb drive, cloned from my original drive. Windows updates and windows defender all stopped working and gave me a error code.

Turns out after installing the 750gb drive you need to update the intel rapid storage drivers or it screws with random programs on your computer. Something to do with bit sectors or some thing like that....

Instead of cloning, do a fresh install.

Everytime I try to do a fresh install, the computer is super laggy and jittery. I just keep a brand new factory fresh clone of the system on the original hdd. When I got the laptop, first thing I did was remove the 160gb drive and put in a bigger one. So I have a new, never used OS to work with anytime my system goes down.
