My i5 M11X R2 is overclocked through Throttlestop, my GPU is overclocked, Gamebooster is on, and for some reason Medieval II: Total War runs HORRENDOUSLY.

I'm getting under 15 FPS. I put all the settings to low. Screen res down a notch, and I get 20 FPS in the campaign map and below 10 FPS in a battle.

Does anyone have these issues with this game? I'm playing Empire: Total War with an average of 32 FPS in a battle! What is happening? :(

I have this game. For me the game crashes periodically, but thats a different issue altogether. Now i know for a fact the first time i played medieval II, i had a lot of trouble and i couldnt figure out why for a while. I bought my copy off of steam and i had steam whitelisted. I learned that whitelisting steam doesnt do much, you need to whitelist medieval itself.

This laptop can run everything on super high settings without a problem.
Make sure you right click ur background, go to nvidia control panel, manage 3d settings, add, and find the medieval.exe. If you got it from steam look for it under steamapps folder.

    ps.....can't wait for shogun 2

The thing is I've got it whitelisted, and I've got my laptop to automatically use the 335m GPU.. I'm starting to think it may be the drivers I'm using. What drivers do you use?

Yeah I'm really excited for Shogun. Hopefully it can run on the R2. If not, I'm already saving up for a PC I'm building.

i'm using the 260.99. i dunno, sometimes, there are some extra problems with this laptop playing games. like i cant run medieval II perfectly. it still freezes once in a while, which is why i had to get rid of it. but i do know it has the potential to play it on the highest settings with the spec it has.
