Ok guys, so here's the deal. I am currently done school, and do not need the portability of the M11x any more. I am planning on giving it to a family member, and would like to upgrade. I would like your opinions moving on from the m11x, as I would like a boost in power and performance. Right now I am considering this:

    IdeaPad Y580 15.6" Laptop | Shop | Lenovo | US | Lenovo | (CA)

The base model ay 849 seems attractive. In your guys opinion, would these be able to run games better then my m11x? I currenty have the r3 with i7 option. Any and all help is appreciated :)

You are asking owners and lovers of the M11x to help you decide if you should move to an Ideapad?!

    LOL Brilliant.

From a neutral point of view the 660M is a good little mid range card but if you want to head up in the world look at high end, 7970M FTW.

Desktop is not ideal, as I would like to have the option to move my rig at will! Yiddo, I would love to go big, but I am at a budget....I can get the above model with the full 1080p screen option for 950 before tax from lenovo! Its hard to beat that price!

Could you not get an M14x R2? It comes with a 650M GT which is the same as a 660M GT but will have all the Alienware features as well.

    Nice model.

Do the m14x r2 run for around 950$? If so, that would def be an option!

look online for coupon codes for Dell's website and you could maybe get one for that (before tax). Normally they start at $1099 (US). You could also look for refurb one for cheaper.

Note that the Lenovo 14" will be more portable than the Alienware 14" beast if that is a concern of yours.

Personally I would wait till mid july to buy a ney Laptop. Each company has been rolling out new ones since ivy bridge came out, and each successive one has been thinner, lighter, and powerful. Also reveiews on the new laptops are limmeted at the moment.
