I know its been done a hundred times but I'm having a hard time finding a consolidated answer.

I have The Witcher EE 1.5 installed. The game won't start it kicks out a minimum system requirements error. Tried adding witcher.exe from the system folder to the whitelist and it doesn't help. Tried right clicking on witcher.exe and selecting run with nvidia and it doesn't help. I can add the -dontForceMinReqs and the game will run but there is a problem. I can't change the texture setting in the game. It is stuck at low and if I try to change it the slider doesn't move and some gibberish comes up where it should say low, medium, high.

Basically I need some way to either not have to use -dontForceMinReqs or a file edit or something to force high textures. I have the newest nvidia drivers that were released yesterday and it still doesn't work, nor did it work on the previous ones. I have an R2 if you haven't guessed by now. Any help is appreciated.

I am having the same problem but just playing through at the low settings. It actually looks pretty decent. (although I want to be able to adjust the settings!)

I had to set the default video device to be the Nvidia to get Witcher to run as well as a couple of other games.

Witcher sort of ran like crap for me. Well, it ran fine, it just froze a lot. So much I quit playing.

I'm using driver version 267.76 and adding it to the whitelist does nothing.

edit: I've tried whitelisting both witcher.exe in the system folder and the launcher.exe neither work.

Works perfectly with 260.x drivers - But then that means losing the ability to play PB games -

It's an issue with the driver and the game, that several other games also suffer with.

As, and when I have the actual time, I'll just downgrade the drivers to play through the game.

    Cheers, Paul.

Yes, I can confirm that 266.58 broke Witcher. Ran on max settings on 260.99 drivers no problem.
