I just got TDU2 the other day, and I began a new game and the fps is just HORRID, I can't make it full screen (there seems to be no option to do so), and I have turned down ALL settings to low/off and i have < 10 fps  ,,, Is there any optimization for the game yet?? I have already whitelisted the game and when running it, the NVIDIA GPU indicator says that it is running on the 335m.. I've been dieing to play this game, and its unplayable at the moment. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. - m11x R2 i7, OC'd at 166

For the full screen issue, when in-game press ALT + ENTER and that will fix that.

However not sure why your getting such low fps. At native res on medium im getting 25-35fps without even OC'ing.

Really? My desktop can hardly get 60fps, And thats with i7 875K @4.0 and 3 hd 5770's in Tri-Fire. My R1 with overclocked cpu and gpu gets 15 to 25fps at most. The game needs to be updated.

Pc version suffers from performance issues, It runs fine on my i7 @ 4.30 @ 60 fps + most of the time (haven't tested with fraps for my main computer just assuming everything is butter smooth I do get frame drops at random times) but on my m11x I get even 11 fps at times.

A patch will be released soon.

    :)

So no fear its not ur m11x....its like black ops...its just poor optimization. I get 200+ frames in Cod Mw 2 on my main computer (maxed out) and around 60 fps ( no shadows and 2Xaa @ native) on my m11x....for Cod black ops, I get around 70-120 fps on my main pc with massive drops if I alt tab out and back in...while it is unplayable on the m11x no matter if I drop everything down even past low with custom cfg:S

So we're seeing another pc port...what a shame...

This is another game that needs help.. but as usual. .here goes...

    1. remove network throttling
    2. disable core parking (just try it and see?) you can always set it back.
    3. disable firewall and service (renable when not playing game)
    4. disable antivirus and service (renable when not playing game)
    5. gamebooster (I use it)... it might not help you but it certainly doesn't harm you.
    6. set windows to max performance (instead of all the visual effects)
    7. disable anything you run at startup that eats cpu bandwidth
    8. Make sure physx is set to cpu or disabled in the nvidia properties.
    9. Make sure render frames ahead is set to 0 in nvidia properties.

The game uses 6 out of 8 threads on my I7 but it only uses 20 percent or less on most threads and 80 percent or higher on 1. You might be able to run it on the R2. I have no idea on the R1. OC if you can safely and see how it goes. I am able to play both offline and online without issues. The servers get yanked sometimes but offline is fine.

    Good Luck, StevenX

Everything on low settings, GPU maxed out via EVGA precision, CPU overclocked and throttle stopped.

    >30fps at native resolution
    Similar fps at 1600x900
    unplayable any higher than that.

I have noticed that offline play gives me about 5 more fps, but i haven't looked at lag.

I'll try StevenX's optimizations tomorrow night.

    EDIT:
I switched to the nvidia 266.xx drivers (nvidia website) and picked up 20fps with no changes to game settings (50-52fps solid, in city out of city on low settings and factory res) It doesn't support dx11 but I don't really play any games that require it. I was also playing wirelessly rather than using my home wired network.
