Hey Guys so these days I've been playing more than usual. Assassins creed II and Sniper ghost warrior. And the thing is my gpu temp is around 83 and that is affecting my games. FPS drops AC II went from 22-20 into 8 frames per second on High settings. I downloaded speed fan to increase the fan speed but It just does not appear there. I asked a friend that he got the same problem the fan is not there so we cant change it to higher speeds. Anyone else got that problem? Do you guys know how to repair it?

I don't believe that the m11x fan speeds can be altered. Do you use a cooler underneath it? If not, I would recommend getting one.

If your temperatures are that high on an R1, there's some sort of problem. Either change the thermal paste yourself, or call Dell for a new motherboard if you'd rather not.

I've been getting pretty good temps from stress testing. Gpu seems to max out at 61/62*c with kombuster and cpu is gets no higher than 55*c with prime95 oc'd. Seems to be pretty good on idle too, but gpu stay around 47*c

It's normal for the laptop to heat up to around 40-47C with normal use. It helps if you can keep the bottom clear from your lap and also the left top side as that's where the fan is.
