    I assume this is not how it's suppose to look? The left side is solid but this side looks like an eclipse is occuring

    Am I alone?

    Mine is a solid colour, just very slightly darker on the outside but it's the same left and right.

    it's always like that, dark or light

    i can push with my finger and it will light up, maybe it's just not fully pressed on or something

    Is this something big enough that someone will come out to replace/fix this?

    Laptop was bought last month

    Someone else posted about this same issue on their R2. IIRC they contacted Dell about it and some other issues. I'd search for that thread.

    They will fix it, just call em up. I saw that happen before with a vent and the Alien Head on the back.

    Mine has something similar but not as bad. I have a small line going across that grille that is a little brighter than rest the of it and I don't know why it looks like that.

    It doesn't bother me enough for me to call Dell about it, but like I said it's not as bad as yours is.

    Just so you know I've had that portion replaced 2x already. So I think I'm a pro at this. they take off the palm rest area and give you a new one. They have to unscrew some things, but man it's so easy.

    Just call them and tell them you need an entire new palm rest area because the "speaker lights" are broken.

    theyll NBD ship it to the contracted company in your city.. theyll then send a rep over the next day or on the day of the arrival.

    So easy... And they were BRAND NEW. A side bonus is that you get to keep the leftovers to sell on amazon lol

    I noticed it initially then didn't mind since I thoguht it was trying to give the abstract space look, but I saw other M11x pics when my friend asked me what one looked like and none of them had that

    Mine had this issue, I just rubbed my finger on it for a while and it went away it and hasnt returned.

    mine also got a bit on the right side but i wouldn't care much i guess ... More on tweaking my m11x right now to play smoothly on SC2 >.<
